Dr. Devang Mehta
Creating Designers with Essential Skills for the Future Workforce

Dr. Devang P. Mehta is an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Engineering Technology (AET), College of Science and Technology (CoST) at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (A&T). He received a B.S. degree from the University of Bombay, India. He received M.A. and D.I.T. degrees from the University of Northern Iowa. In addition, he received a certificate in Graphic Arts from Iowa Lakes Community College. His areas of expertise are computer graphics technology and management. Dr. Mehta has taught a variety of courses, such as web design, game technology, animation, photography, internship, and capstone courses. His research interests include applications of video games, animations, simulations, and web technology in various disciplines, such as education, medicine, manufacturing, and the military to solve the problems. In addition, he is interested in investigating innovative teaching strategies and instructional tools to make learning effective and prepare students for STEM careers. Other interests include training graphics professionals on design software, production equipment, and management strategies. He has business, work, and teaching experience in the field of graphics. Additionally, he has two years of academic administration experience as a department chairperson.
