Hans Mortensen started in the graphic communications industry working in conventional prepress in Arizona and Florida. He left Florida to attend Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). While studying at RIT, he worked full-time as a prepress technician for the Technical and Education Center (T&E Center) at RIT. His employment included prepress work and preparing and presenting prepress topics for the seminars regularly offered by The T&E Center. While working there, he developed and taught a traveling two-day workshop on conventional film image assembly (stripping). He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Printing Management and a Master of Science degree in Instructional Technology from RIT. After graduation, he began teaching full-time at Arkansas State University. He currently teaches at Georgia Southern University. While teaching at Georgia Southern, he earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in graphic design. During university breaks, he often spends time working in local graphic communications firms in their prepress and bindery departments.
