Teaching with AI: Current Practices in Graphic Communications Education Embracing

Student Perceptions on the Importance of Soft Skills in Graphic Communications Education

Amanda Bridges joined the Department of Graphic Communications at Clemson University in Fall 2019.  Prior to working at Clemson, she served as an Associate Professor and Graphic Design Coordinator at Gardner-Webb University.  She has been teaching in higher education since 2004 and has taught a wide range of courses in graphic design, color and typography, web design, multimedia, and print production. Her current research interests include artificial intelligence (AI) teaching strategies for graphic communications, written critiques and reflections as tools for assessment, and the importance of soft skills in education. She is also conducting technical research in the areas of dye sublimation, direct-to-garment, and direct-to-film printing.
